Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing okay.
The awesome educators at Boston College have a FREE resource of 10 math card games for families with young children!

About the book: The Family Math Card Game Booklet that is designed to help children ages Pre-K to Grade 2 learn important math skills using only a regular deck of playing cards.  The booklet may be particularly helpful in the current situation when so many parents are required to homeschool their children.

The booklet includes:

  • 10 card games that progress from early math skills to more advanced mathematical reasoning, including variations for each game,
  • An empirically-based set of prompts for parents and teachers that encourage the development of mathematical thinking
  • A storyline about a Royal Family, including Sneeze the Dragon that provides context for each game.
  • A written instruction booklet with a diagnostic chart that matches the level of a child’s skills to the level of the card game
  • On-line video instructions plus diagrams of the layout of cards for the gameplay
