    Hi Kristy,

I agree! I teach a STEM integration class and an Arts integration class. They are both so fun to teach but overlap immensely.  A project I tried this semester was to have my students write a poem and then they used AI to generate an image for it.  There were some really interesting results!

Deb- that use of AI sounds so interesting. Can you share a bit about the process/AI tools used to create the images and/or student learning/comments? (inspired by your post, just tried Google's free AI image generation tool: https://aitestkitchen.withgoogle.com/tools/image-fx and while there were some interesting results, realized I would have to play around with it some more to try and get close to what I had in mind...)

Kristy- great point. Helping children learn to use tech to express themselves is so important. From simple uses, like use of digital drawing tools and/or audio recording or photo mark up (some examples can be found in the NAEYC article Harnessing Potential: Integrating Technology and Media into Preschool and Dream Yard story activity shared in this  NAEYC blog post) to incorporating use of Augmented Reality or AI, helping children (and families) learn how to use a variety of materials and tools to create ands share children's  powerful ideas is so important. I hope you/others might share some of the stories/examples from your experience, of children using tech to create/art.
