Opening a new daycare center is a difficult task.
Are there online support groups for new directors of daycare centers?
Are there consultants that work with new directors?

Any information would be appreciated. I am board chair of a new daycare and looking for resources to make sure our admin get the support they need.

What state are you in?  Resources vary from state to state.

Do you have a Child Care Resource and Referral Network in Viginia? Tennessee's CCR&R has Small Business Support Specialist that come in and help directors with behind-the-scenes work. CCR&R's differ from state to state so they may not have SBSS.

    Hi Donna,
I have been a consultant to new and existing child care programs for more than 20 years. You are right, I could certainly do most of the work on Zoom or video call.  First kudos to you to recognize that your staff will need support. While my website is undergoing some major work, you can see some of what I do by going to
    Best of luck to you.

    Hi Donna,

I think the Virginia Department of education has resources available through "Ready Regions."
This might be a contact to start with for looking for a support group for a new program Director.
