I am opening an early learning center and have decided on some curriculum. I am curious on what people's experiences have been with buying Montessori and other curriculum online and if there are approved lists of who to buy from?

For Montessori, if your teachers are trained, they will have their own albums. If not, the North American Montessori Center sells curriculum for all ages. I've only used their twos curriculum, but I liked it.

Please make sure you have a Montessori trained guide who knows how to demonstrate and use the materials. We buy a lot from Montessori Services and Neinhuis.

Susan, thanks for sharing this very important distinction. Using Montessori materials requires training on the context and attributes of the materials as well as how to interpret observations of the children's use and mastery of the materials. Each of these components - training, materials, observations, assessments and individual guidance on each child's level of mastery = Montessori curriculum.
