    I am looking for suggestions for a summer reading for my entire staff..
    Preferably titles relating to the importance of play and/or emergent curriculum.

    I did a book study with staff on schema play - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Understanding-schemas-young-children-Featherstone/dp/1408189143. It was an amazing way to reframe what we were seeing through and responding to this constructively. We set it as a research project - a chapter over two weeks, observe and document what we had seen in then class, then collated next steps. It was a wonderful way to develop a shared approach and reframe play behaviours.

    Hello!

    I highly recommend Play: How it Shapes the Brain, Opens the Imagination, and Invigorates the Soul by Christopher Vaughan and Stuart Brown.  I had to read it for my Play and Creativity Class in my masters program, and I found it fascinating!

    I recommend The Boy Who Would be a Helicopter  by Vivian Gussin Paley. She is humbled and enchanted by the power of children's play.
