    Hello,
    We are pursuing accreditation which I have not been involved in for many years. Does NAEYC still require assessment surveys to be completed by families and teaching staff?

    Good morning, 
    I was just in a meeting yesterday and it was discussed that if you want to keep your NAeyc accreditation level the assessment/ surveys must be completed . The CD was instructed to set goals and make sure to put it in place in order to renew our status.

    Hi Nancy, 
    NAEYC no longer requires the family and teaching staff surveys. However, there are assessment items that ask you to show how you've used the results of your annual program evaluation (that gathers info from all stakeholders) to make improvements to your program's activities, policies, and professional development. 
    In short, high quality practices include gathering feedback from stakeholders, but NAEYC does not require a specific survey form, nor do they review your completed feedback forms.
