  • Dec 7, 2018, 9:30am-12:00pm, NAEYC Power To The Profession Focus Group will be held in San Francisco

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Asian Interest Forum is partnering with First 5 San Francisco to host a Power to the Profession (P2P) information and discussion group on December 7, from 9:30AM – 12 PM in room 1125 at 1390 Market Street. It’s NAEYC's goal to ensure that the conversations we have and decisions we make are informed by, and reflective of perspectives that capture the full range of the incredible diversity of the early childhood workforce. NAEYC is especially committed to engaging with people of color who are unrepresented in P2P conversations. For example, less than 2 percent of the feedback we’ve received to date have been from educators who opt-in and self-identify as Asian/Asian American. We can do better, and we need your help. This is your profession, and your voice is critical in helping all of us to figure out who we are, what we want to be, and how we are going to get there. We look forward to seeing you there!
