    Hi,
I am curious to know if anyone (center/school) is using a health screening questionnaire app for child check in? We are trying to cut down to the amount of time it takes since we are doing a kiss and ride drop off. I would love to know how other centers are doing it, what works, and what doesn't. I apologize as I'm sure these questions have already been addressed in the past, I just can't find the thread! Thanks and I hope everyone is staying safe and sane!

We are not currently doing this but maybe sending out a google docs form for them to submit may work.

Or have all of your questions on a laminated sheet and email parents a copy of all the questions... if they are the same questions daily just ask them can they confirm all are true.  Then you just need one answer yes.

We switched from daily paper health screening forms to a very large laminated sheet that is hanging at our front door. While we are taking the temps we ask the parents to verbally agree that their child complies to the questions on the sheet and that they have not been in close contact with anyone that has been diagnosed with a positive result. It cut our time in half by doing this.

Our athletics department uses a QR code (you can create them for free online) that the students scan using their phones.  It links to a google doc where they answer the screening questions.  All staff does is take the temperature of the student and the student inputs the rest, which is also time-stamped when they enter the data.  I haven't tried this yet at our preschool, but it could be used in the same way where we take their temp and parents input the data.  It is a very quick process and is also nice in that you have an electronic copy for record-keeping; however, unless the questions are also answered verbally by the parent you wouldn't know their responses to the additional questions unless you were monitoring the document in real-time.  Pros and cons to doing it this way but it may be worth exploring.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure this has been discussed already.  My private Pre-K to 8th grade Catholic School is looking into an app for the parents to use to screen their children before they come to school.  Is anyone using an app at the present time?  My school reopening committee just watched a demo from the MyMedBot COVID app company.  They are launching their app on August 1st, and currently have 20 schools signed-up.  The company is based in Luxembourg.   They are very reasonably priced at 50 cents per child and you pay month to month.  The teacher at the door of the school has a tablet and get real-time updates as the parents screen their kids at home before they come to school.

So, if you are using an app or planning to, I would love to hear your thoughts on how you made your decision or how the app is working for you.

    Thanks so much,
