Hello from the preschool doctor,
The preschool will have to be designed for children to be able to be free and just Go Play.
Most preschools are designed with not enough toys and materials to keep a group of young children busy.
And the children have to learn to put the toys away when done, and teachers have to reinforce this concept.
And directors need to take the toys and materials "out of the closet " and put more to do.
Children should be able to have an exorbitant amount of toys and materials.
Often I see classrooms with a few carefully placed toys and materials on the shelves in the classroom.
And, add toys and materials outside, OMG where are the toys for outdoors.
Sincerely Melanie

Subject: Playing Is Learning
Keeping a policy in place is important for safety purposes especially when children are involved and as long as policy is being followed, we can keep on playing, practicing and Learning. Children need to be hands on, they need to make mistakes and they must ask questions and give ideas in order to build knowledge. Our homes, schools, walks/travels and overall experiences are all learning opportunities for practicing and playing while implementing Policy because rules matter too.
