We are a half-day parent participation program and our schedules look like this:
1 - Day Class Schedule (Toddlers)2:45pm Arrival: Open learning and exploration areas: art, sensory, cognitive, fine/
gross motor skills and nature center.
3:30pm Snack: Practice independence while eating, explore new foods/textures
and engage in social-emotional behavior. Parent discussion.
3:50pm Open Play: Continued exploration of learning areas
4:40pm Clean Up: Social development and responsibility
4:45pm Circle Time: Music, movement, language and social development
5:00pm Dismissal
2 - Day Class Schedule (2-year-olds)
Tuesday, Thursday
9:00 - Welcome: Sign-In, Open Play in Front Room, Science Corner, Kitchen Corner, Library Area, Circle Activity Room, and Outside
10:00 - Opening Circle: Music and Movement, Songs, Finger plays.
10:15 - Snack Time: Family Style Snack served at Front Room Tables.
10:30 - Indoor / Outdoor Activity Time: Open Play indoors in Front Room, Science Corner, Kitchen Corner, Library Area, Dramatic Playroom, and outdoors in Play Yard with Riding Toys, Hollow Blocks, Sand Play, and at Centers for Art, Science, and Sensory Play.
10:50 - Cleanup: Parents/Caregivers and Children work together to clean classroom areas before Story Time and Closing Circle.
11:10 - Story Time, Closing Circle: Story Time, Goodbye Song.
11:15 - Goodbye
3-Day Daily Program Schedule: (3 and 4-year-olds)
Monday, Wednesday, Friday (9-1130am)
9:00 Arrival
Learning Centers focus on language, creativity, social skills, cooperation, gross and fine motor skills, science, math, and art.
10:00 Group #1 Circle Time
Focus areas for 4-year-olds include social, language, fine and gross motor skills.
10:15 Group #2 Circle Time/Group #1 Small Group Time
Focus for 3-year-olds Circle Time include social, language, fine and gross motor skills.
Small Group for 4-year-olds includes math, science, literacy, fine motor skills
10:30 Snack
Focus is on self-help and social skills.
10:45 Open Play
Promoting children's cognitive, linguistic, social and physical development.
11:15 Clean Up Time
Building responsibility and care for our school and equipment.
11:20 Story Time
Focusing on listening skills, and language development.
11:30 Dismissal
4-Day Daily Program Schedule (4-year-olds)
Monday - Thursday (12:30pm-3:30pm)
12:30 Arrival

1:45 Circle Time

2:00 Small Group Time

The Environmental Rating Scales recommend 2/3 of the day be spent in free play as well as alternating periods of noise and quiet. Here's our schedule:
6:30-8:30 Free play
8:30-8:45 Clean up and transition to breakfast
8:45-9:15 Breakfast
9:15 Group Time
9:30-10:45 Free Play and small groups
10:45-11 Clean up, transition to outside
11:00-1200 Free play outside/gross motor
12:15 Lunch
1:00 Rest time
2:00 Snack
2:30-6 Free play, with another outdoor period around 4
