It is my understanding that for CDA Council/Renewal purposes, the state in which the continuing education is received does not matter, as long as it is issued from a training organization. As far as state continuing education requirements, that will vary from state to state.

Subject: CDAs and Renewal
I wanted to speak on behalf of those with CDA in preschool and touch on renewals and teachers with them moving to another state as I have done. While I am not against continuing education, should not active CDAs and CEU's from other states like Maryland be considered exemptions from state and county Departments in Florida if one has gotten continuing Education units from another state like Maryland and can't that one Maryland 45 hour CEU's for preschool be used alone with work experience and a director's recommendation to renew CDA's annually? Just a thought, but with our personal busy lives and COVID, it should be considered by all Departments of Education and the CDA council alone.
