    Hello everyone !

    I need your help please. Now before you all say it " Yes I did every thing you can think of to support my children referral process" I have am having such a difficult time for one getting my 10% in dissabiites.  


    Can you help!  Thoughts!

    Hi Johanna,

    I'm in this space. I've worked in Early Intervention and Preschool Special Ed in NYC for many moons.
    IncludeNYC is a good place for referrals. https://includenyc.org/help-center/resources/early-childhood-programs/ 
    For Preschool the parent goes to their district to open a case. Then they receive a list of evaluation sites. 
    For Early Intervention the parent can call 311 to ask for Early Intervention. Then once they call Early Intervention a service coordinator is assigned who should help the parents find an evaluation agency. 
    In addition, if a referral source can recommend a specific agency to the parent then they can do that as well.
