I also have an active toddler room and have been following the thread on that topic. A comment from Loraine Dunn led me to this related but separate question. I sometimes struggle with balancing having enough choices to keep children engaged with having too many choices that they have a harder time maintaining focused play. When setting up the room for the day, I am mindful of variety and choice but on occasion, children sometimes play in a room with fewer choices. These times are just as successful from watching the level of children's engagement. Anyone have thoughts on finding the sweet spot? I imagine this conversation can be for all age groups, not just toddlers.
