    I would like some clarification of what our program can use to show documentation of 4B.2 -'If child portfolios are used as an assessment method, Show or describe how the results are used to create activities or lesson plans."

    Our program doesn't use portfolios, so what can be used in place of this? We entered observations into GOLD assessment and use that as well as ASQ -3's to determine activities needed and plan for them on our lesson plans. last time I submitted a lesson plan but it came back as not met so I want to be able to get this one correct in the next classroom portfolio. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

    Hi Sue,
    As a former Accreditation facilitator, I often talked with my programs about these items. We would talk about what "child portfolios" means, and if they were using another form of assessment, they would typically just include a statement in those assessment item folders to the effect that "N/A. We do not use child portfolios as an assessment method. "
