The 2022 NAEYC conference session "Loving-and learning-science with young children: Expanding themes into science inquiry by bringing in the practices of science and engineering" was only 90 minutes long--just long enough to introduce and begin to discuss how the NGSS practices of science and engineering are used by young children. And enough time to experience some of the joy of discovery while engaging in a science exploration. Educators can support children in continuing to use the practices, developing a more effective way of finding out and learning from their observations.
We were honored to work with such active participants! As members of the NAEYC Early Childhood Science Interest Forum (open to all) we value collaboration.
