    Good morning!

I am in South Carolina.  I will look into any state sponsored programs!

Do you want each teacher to develop her/his own curriculum?  Not necessarily.  We like for them to have creative freedom to plan their own lessons.  But we would like to provide them with a foundation that reflects Reggio ideals while also providing a bit of structure (SC Early Learning Standards).  A bit of a tricky balance.  Currently we provide them with a monthly school-wide theme - including letters, numbers, shapes, color of the month (not the best practice, I know... but how do you get away from this while also ensuring that your teachers have a defined focus or goal?). Do you want the program to develop a program-wide curriculum with individual group variations?  I think so, yes.  I think this is where creative freedom comes in. Do you want the staff to understand more about inquiry-based curricula or how to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum?  Both!  Is there a way to write an inquiry-based curricula?  Do you want a particular focus, such as social/emotional development?  We would want to be sure to hit all of the developmental domains Do you want to understand the connection between assessment and curriculum? Wouldn't hurt!  Though we do already us the ASQ3 for assessments.  Do you want staff to implement individualized approaches to an overall curriculum?  Yes!

    I'm excited for your response!

Please let us know more about your needs.  Do you want each teacher to develop her/his own curriculum?  Do you want the program to develop a program-wide curriculum with individual group variations?  Do you want the staff to understand more about inquiry-based curricula or how to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum?  Do you want a particular focus, such as social/emotional development?  Do you want to understand the connection between assessment and curriculum? Do you want staff to implement individualized approaches to an overall curriculum?

The answers to these questions would frame the type of help you are seeking.  Also, Mailka's question about where you are located will impact what's available to you.  I'm sure you can get lots of helpful ideas here.
