    Hi everyone,
I'm working on a project about play and creativity and I will love to hear from everyone about issues and concerns in your community about fostering play and creativity.
Thank you and all answers and suggestions are welcome

    Hi Sakina,

Can you tell us more about your project? What I typically see is a lot of restrictions around what children are allowed to do and a narrow threshold of parents (and sometimes educators) of appropriate play/behaviors. Additionally sports and more "academic" programs seem to take up more time. Children are consuming a lot of technology. In a busy world, communities seem reluctant to take time to play.

I really have been enjoying the book, When you Wonder, You're Learning and it touches on these concepts as well.

    Hi,
I suggest checking out the International Play Association.  They have great resources and a weekly podcast, porch time. Look on their website. I've recorded a few for them.
Also Defending the Early Years, DEY has wonderful resources.
As long as you keep in mind that children learn through play, you will be able to know which resources are solid and which to discard.
