Is anyone else experiencing trouble getting a response from the CDA Council or extreme delays in receiving documentation of credentials? I have two teachers who have been waiting over nine months to receive their certificates and we have tried numerous times to seek assistance to no avail. The system will not allow the teachers to check on the progress or to print the documentation for themselves and efforts to contact them via phone, email, or their help feature have not yielded any progress. While both teachers know that the credential has been awarded, they have no physical proof and cannot get anyone from the Council to respond with a timeline for when that might be sent.
I understand that the current situation has delayed much of what we were able to access more readily pre-pandemic, but I believe that nine months without response or action is more than enough to expect a resolution. I know that this is not directly an NAEYC-related topic, but since we hold a CDA credential as one of the benchmarks of our field, I am wondering if others have had similar experiences and how you are navigating it. At this point, it could prevent my teachers from being able to pursue or renew a state ancillary teaching certificate, which could have big consequences for them regarding proposed tax credits for ECE teachers.
Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated!
