    As a board member for a local child care facility, I've been asked to help with performance evaluations for our center directors. Can someone please point me to an effective assessment tool for this purpose? Thanks!

    Hello from the preschool doctor,

    An assessment tool for preschool directors, don't know of any.

    Preschool Director information is available online description of their job at the Department of labor, but there could be books on the subject. Probably NAEYC standards could describe Director jobs.

    I have uploaded a performance eval for an executive director that our board came up with. If your director does not have an assistant director as we do who oversees the educational program, then I suggest using Joseph Caruso's book from Teachers College Press, Supervision in Early Childhood Education. 3rd Edition.
