Dear Christa,
Thank you for your questions regarding the re-accreditation process and we apologize for any delay in responding back to you. With the accreditation portal launch in November of 2018, programs no longer submit paper forms to NAEYC. For renewing programs, when a program is completing their 4th annual tasks on their portal they will let NAEYC know if they are intending to renew. With the approval of that submission, the program is automatically entered into their site visit process. Note that this does not impact your portfolio evidence - you can still compile your portfolios in hard copy or digital format and the assessor will review those on site during your renewal site visit. Please visit our website to learn more about accessing your program's
accreditation portal and make sure you're using the
2019 model of assessment to prepare your program for the site visit.
For a more program-specific timeline or any additional questions, please contact us at 1-800-424-2460 option 3 or email us at
accreditation.information@naeyc.org and our program support team will be happy to assist you!

Subject: Reaccreditation
Is there anyone else who is currently approaching their fifth year and prepping for reaccreditation? The documentation I received says our materials are due in September but the new portal hasn't shown how we submit our materials. I have been trying to contact NAEYC via email since March and have left phone messages but haven't heard back from anyone and am getting anxious! Would love to hear if anyone knows anything about this.
