Indeed, I worked with GA Pre K for 9 years and I can attest to this. We had 6.5 hours with students a day, but the difference it made to ELL students was unbelievable. Kids will come in with no one in English but the end of ten months some aquire advance vocabulary in English and excel wonderfully in other content areas. Therefore, when 6.5 can be extended to a whole day what an impact will it make.
