Help for teacher with OCD

I am a Quality Coach working with an educator who suffers from OCD.  She is working in a 3 year old classroom as the lead and is struggling with children getting toys out and them being on the floor.  She wants to go over and pick them up even though the children are playing.  She understands that this is normal behavior for the children and that she does have a disorder.  Has anyone ever dealt with anything similar or same and if so how can I help her.

She is willing to try whatever I pose to her.  She is going to contact her physician and speak with him to see if there are any medications he can prescribe or therapy for her.

    Thanks so much!

It seems like her focus is on the state of the toys, rather than how children are playing with them. Maybe she can shift her focus by sitting down to play WITH a child so that she's more focused on play and imagination, rather than mess? It may take a concerted effort at first, but may become easier the more she does it.

I think your aide will need to acknowledge that she has OCD if she is going to fight it. If she isn't willing to do that and let you help her with it I doubt that you will be able to keep her employed.
