I have been speaking to Family Child Care Educators and it seems the main sticking point a lot of them have with NAEYC is that they do not have a process for them to become accredited and therefore do not view the Org as being inclusive. Especially since they feel like they are running programs that could be deemed up to NAEYC standards.

What are your thoughts on Family Child Care Businesses being given NAEYC standards to become accredited within the Org? I personally would love it since I plan on continuing my journey as a business in my home. It enables me provide high quality care at affordable rates while also having small class sizes.
