Naeyc TechYC Interest Forum Quarterly meet up Recording; Q&A to follow

On May 17th we attempted a Zoom Webinar that was hacked so that webinar was stopped.

But ECE people are resilient, creative and resourceful.

Our guest speaker, Faith Rogow, graciously agreed to record her presentation so we could post this for our Tech & YC interest forum members and friends.

Naeyc TechYC Quarter Mtg. Topic: Media Literacy w/ Faith Rogow

What Media Literacy Is and Isn't + Practical ECE Integration Strategies

We'll look at how media literacy practice emerges out of the blending of traditional literacy and critical thinking (which is why it isn't focused on debates over screen time). I'll share some media literacy integration strategies that involve tweaks to common activities – you may be surprised at all the media literacy you already do! And, of course, we'll leave time for a lively Q&A.

It would be helpful if folks would read ahead of time my chapter in Chip Donohue's Technology and Digital Literacy in the Early Years which is available here:http://teccenter.erikson.edu/in-practice/10medialitwk/
