Have you ever imagined letting your preschool children plan a wedding? How would that go? Lately, a Chinese preschool teacher's wedding story has gone viral, because her wedding took place at the preschool where she works, and her 4-year-old students planned the wedding together with her. It all started when the teacher first shared her wedding news with her students, her children were curious about what a wedding looks like, and many traditions about a Chinese wedding. So the teacher decided to turn her wedding into a learning project. They spent months learning about marriage, friends and family, followed by making wedding invitations and sending the invitation to teachers and peers as well as their parents. They decorated their school with Chinese folk paper-cut art and designed the bridal's bouquet with construction papers. On the wedding day, all the children from her class escorted her on their tricycles! More than 400 teachers, children and parents attended the wedding on their playground. This story truly melts my heart. What's more beautiful to me is how the teacher followed her students' interests and develop her lessons/project from their very own daily life!
