Hi Laura,
Please join the NAEYC Early Childhood Science Interest Forum, and welcome! Like all NAEYC interest forums, the ECSIF is open to all NAEYC members and the members and leadership welcome all. ECSIF members have posted useful resources in the ECSIF community that you can access once you join.
As far as participating in the NSTA Elementary Extravaganza event at the 2019 NSTA national conference coming up soon in April, I will ask the EE coordinator to email you directly.
Looking forward to meeting you and other EC educators at the science education conference,
Peggy

Peggy,
Your post has me really looking forward to my first NSTA Conference! I plan on being at the Extravaganza. I'd actually hoped to bring a table activity, but no one has gotten back to me. Suggestions?
The STEM space for ECE is kinda small, so it'd be great to meet up with others.
For the past 2 years, I've delivered STEM activities directly to children in childcare settings. I'd love to find out what similarly interested educators are doing in the space.

The NAEYC Early Childhood Science Interest Forum will be meeting during the 2019 National Science Teachers Association's national conference in St. Louis, MO. On Friday, April 12 we'll meet at the doors to Hall 2 of the conference center, America's Center, right after we clean up from presenting at the 8-10am Elementary Extravaganza session. And then we'll look for a lobby where we can sit to talk about science education in early childhood.
We'll be flexible about where we end up sitting. Ground floor level has some seating which may or may not be occupied. There are some lounges on the south side of the building, near the Washington Avenue entrance. The virtual tour gives some ideas: https://explorestlouis.com/tour/slcc_tour.html
Get together with other science-interested early childhood educators for an informal group discussion, networking, and sharing of resources.
Best wishes,
Peggy
