In her most recent article, Susan Friedman, NAEYC, shared three ways of powerful storytelling in early childhood in helping young children during this pandemic, including virtual read aloud, a social story, and a 7-year-old's creation of her storybook about the virus and lockdown. Great resources and examples! I particularly enjoyed reading the child's storybook! Despite feeling sad, the child wrote a hopeful message: "Coronavirus will be over and when it is over, I will go for a hot air balloon ride!"

My friend also shared her 7-year-old daughter's "shelter-in-place and stay-at-home" picture, which is the child's unique storytelling of her feeling about her personal experience. So precious! Do you have a story to share? I would love to hear.....
