Participate in NAEYC's Survey about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program

The U.S. Department of Education is currently accepting public comments on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. Through this program, individuals with eligible federal student loans and who work for eligible employers (e.g., U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization), after making 120 monthly payments, can have the remainder of their student loan forgiven. To inform NAEYC's comments, we are conducting a short survey to understand early childhood educators' experiences with this program. Responses to the survey will contribute to recommendations NAEYC will make to strengthen access to and administration of the PSLF program. You can access the survey here (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/V7YKGH6). The survey will remain open through September 17.

    Hello NAEYC Community,

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our survey about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. The experiences with PSLF that you shared through the survey have informed the comments (attached) that NAEYC submitted to the U.S. Department of Education. We will also use the data gathered from the survey to inform our advocacy efforts to increase access to the PSLF program for early childhood educators and to strengthen the operations of the program.

With gratitude for all that you are doing for the ECE profession,

    Mary
