I am a practicum student taking classes at the University of Hawaii Maui College. In Hawaii, we are currently under a 'Shelter in Place' order until April 30th. So just like everyone else our hours had to be cut short. We had to work over 200 hours throughout the spring semester. When schools started to close we were briefly halfway through the semester. She cut down the hours in half and any extra we did was extra credit. She was open to ideas on how to make up points. Some ideas were to make individualized take-home packets for the children, to create and make a tutorial of an activity that children can do at home, participate in family zoom calls or do live circle time. Any ideas that could pay it foward to the familes at the preschool, was counted toward our points. I know this post is late but if any instructor is still searching for <g class="gr_ gr_1396 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling multiReplace" id="1396" data-gr-id="1396">make up</g> assignments, here are a few ideas

As a college instructor, I'm wondering if any alternative provisions are being made for students to complete their required internship hours.
Sincerely,
