    Greetings,

Here is a link for a searchable database for funding:

    https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/home.html

But truthfully the best way to get funding is networking. Go to professional organization meetings such as your NAEYC affiliate or other high profile organizations. The funding information typically flows that way and also they tend to be the people who recommend people for grants.

Also do not shy away from the frequent direct asks, breakfast fundraisers (better and cheaper than dinners) with awards, walkathons...etc.

I have successfully raised over $50,000 for my independent project unaffiliated with any larger organization and $20,000 of that was via kickstarter, but keep in mind for crowdfunding, you should have at least half of it promised before you start the campaign, and be realistic about the amount your social network can give. A funded $1000 campaign looks better than a unfunded $10,000 campaign.

Also what if your dream for young children, people need a reason to give, give them one.

    Hope this helps.
