I am a professional development trainer contracted through the state of Kentucky.
I am considering having a speed talk table for Directors, teachers of different age groups.
We gather once a month to talk of Ideals and we drop or problems in a discussion bucket to talk about the next time we meet.Everyone is given a certain amount of time to talk. There is more. What do you think?  and do you have any input on this Ideal? It takes a village to raise a child👼.

    Good Monday morning!

I love the idea!  Will this meeting be via conference call for those of us who are located in different states?

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

I am a trainer in Illinois and love this idea. The group I work with does something similar, but it is only once a year. We use the problems/areas they feel a need for more support <g class="gr_ gr_248 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar replaceWithoutSep" id="248" data-gr-id="248">in</g> to drive what professional development we will offer over the next year. We are experimenting with online communities of practice that occur on a monthly basis, it would be interesting to put your idea into them and see how it goes!

I am a pre-K teacher as well as the curriculum specialist for the early childhood center where I work. For the past 2 years, all lead teachers meet once a month for PD. Last year, we spent the whole year focusing on math and delved into what good practice really looks like in early childhood. This year we are focusing on literacy. The teachers feel that the most beneficial thing we do is to get in age groups and share activities, brainstorm around problems. Teachers want concrete ideas that they can take back into the classroom. Hope this perspective helps.

    Good morning.

Yes!  It could be an on-line meeting of the minds.  It would have to be strategically planned if it takes place during the day.

Looking forward to it!  Dr. Void

I really like this idea.  I feel as a first year teacher that it could be of great benefit to me to have a chance to collaborate with others, where we are all sharing our thoughts and ideas.  Please keep in contact with me with any further development of your plan.  I would love to be a part.  I have shared my email below.
