Hi Hedy
Do you mean "rotating" centers or activities?
If you do, then I disagree with the concept entirely. We don't rotate children at all. Children are free to pick and choose their activities, join us for planned experiences if they think it is interesting and spend a lot of time engaging with toys. Why would the move a child who is engaged in learning? Basically a leader is arbitrarily deciding when a child is finished with an activity and the learning happening there. I can foresee that there may be a lot of misbehaviour, and/or correction from staff regarding these changes. I can see that maybe they want other children to have a chance to play with said thing, and to me that seems like we need to look at how we can support the children to work together so more can play at an interesting area.

Subject: Rotating 3 year olds
Hello NAEYC members, Do you agree with the concept of rotating 3 year olds every 30 minutes? It's 5 times before lunch and nap time. I realize it can get a bit boring but I think 3 times before lunch is fair to teachers. Any comments? Management seems to be firm.on this rule😥.
