Hello everyone! We have approximately 8 staff that have been unsuccessfully seeking help from The Council since this time last year, in an attempt to get a PD Specialist to respond to an email, let alone come out to do the assessment (even prior to COVID).

Has anyone had any luck getting through, any tips or tricks they wouldn't mind sharing, any connections?

We are in southern DE, and there's maybe 3 PDS in our state, none of which have responded. We expanded the search to anything within a 2 hour range from our program, and still nothing. Not even an email back -- which is super frustrating.

Again, any help, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello!

I am a PDS in North Dakota. I am pretty sure that I am the only one with any availability right now. I did one this week, have two scheduled next week, and a few coming up; I for sure have more requests than I can handle right now. I think being summer, our schedules are limited. I can only do them MWF right now because of my daughter's childcare schedule. With COVID, I wonder if people are hesitant to do them.

My advice I guess is to keep reaching out to the council, or keep reaching out to the specialists in your area. I wish I could help you more!
    :-)

Hey there! Thanks for reaching out! I've gotten quite a few direct emails, all from Well out of state, but with support.

thank you to everyone who has emailed!
