    Hi all,

I've been following some posts recently regarding wages in Early Childhood, and I couldn't agree with them more.
Although I have information regarding the wages here in Central Florida from Indeed and Glassdoor, I recently moved to this area so I do not have working experience in this area of Florida.
Can anyone give me a ballpark figure for lead teacher and teacher assistants?
I want to make sure we budget correctly for our new school.

    I appreciate your support!

    Melissa

    Hello Melissa,
It is so hard to compare apples to apples in our industry. An average teacher might make $16 an hour and an assistant $12. Here is where it gets tricky... we provide 100% of health benefits, life insurance, tuition discounts for staff children, as well as contribute 9% to a retirement plan. Some schools might offer more per hour but no benefits.

    Stacey,

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer that post; I know it's a sensitive subject for a number of reasons.
We'll see how it works in our context.

    Thank you for your support,
    Melissa
