NAEYC supports research efforts and other initiatives from individuals and outside organizations that advance the early childhood profession and the young children it serves. Hello's Code of Conduct requires that individuals who want to use Hello to disseminate surveys or recruit research/interview subjects need to have these requests approved by NAEYC. These requests should be submitted through this form and will be considered by NAEYC on a case-by-case basis. If approved, NAEYC will disseminate the research request or informational report through an appropriate NAEYC channel, which might include a NAEYC newsletter, HELLO or an interest forum. Kelsey Will, a doctoral student in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota is recruiting licensed early childhood teachers for her dissertation study, Assessment and Data Use For Early Literacy and Language in Early Childhood: Teachers' Practices, Beliefs and Competencies. The goal of the study is to understand early childhood teachers' practices, beliefs, and competencies regarding early childhood assessment and data use. Teachers are eligible to participate if they are licensed and work with preschool children (ages 3-5) in public school districts in the United States. The study consists of a one-time online survey lasting up to 30 minutes. The first 200 teachers who complete the survey will receive a $20 gift card.
