I appreciate the attention being paid to the horrors of the camps of immigrant children. I am deeply ashamed of our country and fear for the future of those kids and families. I'm wondering if any of you have heard any discussions or comments from children in your care about the children in the camps? I have Guatemalan nieces who are young adults now. They know that if their circumstances were a tiny bit different they could be one of these children or their mother. That's a hard weight to carry. Are any of you hearing anything from your children? If so, how are you responding?
