If you need proof of membership for CDA purposes your membership invoice is sufficient. To access your invoice, log into your account, on the profile page under "Account Links" click Invoices. You will then be able to print or download a receipt for proof of your membership.
I agree, I joined in July and its now February and I have never received my membership card. They emailed me back like 3 months after I sent in an email and asked if I had received it. I responded and now I have not heard anything again for about 2 months again.
