Thanks, Jorge,
As Gwen said, the Affiliate Advisory Council has been engaging affiliate leadership on these issues over the last few years. It's clear that at the affiliate level these are crucial matters for the association and the field, and we've been using our affiliate leadership events to scaffold this work. I assure you that we will be keeping equity in leadership front and center in the months and years to come on the AAC.

Jorge,
The Affiliate Advisory Council continues to read and reference this survey and it is currently in front of the Affiliate Network. I am attaching a summary PPT that I developed in May 2018 in case anyone is interested.

Subject: Race to Lead: Confronting the Nonprofit Racial Leadership Gap
Excerpts: Rather than focus on the perceived deficits of potential leaders of color, the sector should concentrate on educating nonprofit decision-makers on the issues of race equity and implicit bias accompanied by changes in action leading to measurable results.
Overwhelmingly, survey respondents agree that the low percentage of nonprofit leaders of color in top organizational roles is a problem for the nonprofit sector. Based on the results of this study, the sector can seize the opportunity to align its values based on equity and inclusion with its practices, and stay relevant in a changing world.
