Living and teaching within a hybrid model during the pandemic has made me realize that "special needs" moving forward may entail more than developmental growth. The pandemic I feel has opened the doors to emotional and mental needs for teachers, children and families as a whole ( aka Everyone). I am hoping that moving forward as educators we are able to be open to the new needs of those families and children we are providing services for. Loved ones are no longer with many of us and good byes may not have been said in the traditional way during grieving. Any ideas, tips and suggestions for a smooth transition and pro active curriculum will be appreciated with working with children and their families post pandemic in regards to emotional and social development. Stay safe, Positive and healthy!!
