    Hello all-
Minnesota has started requiring a few topics for staff to be trained on every other year.  I like to have a video or something for these trainings, so it's not just me talking to my staff for an hour or so!  I have found great resources for our child development and cultural dynamics trainings.  I am struggling to find something for our next training requirement: "disabilities training to increase awareness of differing abilities of children".
Does anyone have any resources, websites, videos that they have seen or used that might help keep my staff interested?
    Thank you!!!

    Hi Sarah,

I work in CA and we have this website for inclusive practice and settings for early childhood education.  There is a plethora of resources, articles, ideas, etc here.  It takes some time to "pick" through, but there is some really great stuff!

I also recommend the beginning together resources.  The link is at the top of the page on the inclusion map but here is a direct link

    Hi Sarah,
I actually do prof. dev. training in exactly this area and have prepared video workshops for a number of schools.  They are interactive workshops, so involve music, stories and statistics :-)

I find the Early Childhood Learning & Knowledge Center (ECLKC) has great resources on the topic of "disabilities".

    Hi Brandy,
I work at the Goddard School and our cooperation does webinars for us throughout the year. This year they did 2 on diversity.
I also found a few through NAEYC last year when they had free webinars.
I found this from another poster and plan to use it in the future...

    Hi Sarah,

I was given this website by one of my teachers and I have found it to have a plethora of relevant trainings and they are for free (even better).  They can be accessed on your own time as well, which is a godsend!

    ecewebinars.com

I put disabilities into the search engine and they had some you may find helpful.

    Take care and good luck!
