Dear Georgia, I have started my program twice because of relocation. When you start a home day care, the first year is kind of slow. This is normal. You can create a facebook page so parents can check what you do in your program. Always ask parents if you can use their children's pictures on line.
Of course creating a website is very helpful.
Your best promotion is the word of mouth. You can tell parents that, for every child they refer to you and registers to your program, you will give them a $50 discount for the month. These are just some ideas.
But, believe me, if you offer a good program, soon you will have a waiting list.

I have been doing everything to market my program, I have great experience, affiliations, reasonable prices , a beautiful location, safe and clean enviroment, i dress nice and casual when I go out recruiting and i even offer transportation and I am having a difficult time getting children for my in home family daycare. although I am planning on taking another marketing course. what is some of the things that others do to market their program?
