Dear Members of the Young Children's Spirituality Interest Forum of NAEYC, Our Interest Forum was founded in 2011 out of a desire to embrace the diversity of feelings and perspectives about what transcends each and all of us, yet connects us all in spirituality.  We are delighted to report that NAEYC has been working hard on its own Position Statement on "Advancing Equity and Diversity in Early Childhood Education:. A draft of that Position Statement has been put out to NAEYC members for comments and we would like to encourage you to download and read it; then send in to NAEYC and us, your own stories and perspectives.  It's at  https://www.naeyc.org/resources/position-statements/equity-draft.  We hope that the Position Statement will reflect the values of equity and diversity derived ultimately from spirituality, which often reflects our morals, our cultures, and our laws.  To have our professional practice implement these values is to make us and the children and families we serve, more human.
