    Hello NAEYC Members!

The 2020 Census Count is fast approaching. The Census is a primary data set used to determine community resources across the country. The problem is that there has been a historic undercount of young children, especially Black and Brown children.

Jerri Daniel, Co-Chair of the Black Caucus, served for six years on the Census's National Advisory Committee on Hard to Count Populations. She recently received an update on the 2020 Census from the City University of New York Graduate Center. This update includes vital information and interactive maps that allow advocates to locate specific pockets where hard to count people live.

Please view the announcement from the Center for Urban Research / CUNY Graduate Center for more information.
