In your center, what curriculum model is used? We have choices of Creative Curriculum, High Scope Reggio-Emilia & Montessori. Pros/cons?

I just wanted to note that "Reggio Emilia" is a philosophy not a curriculum.  If one embraces that philosophy, it influences your choices when choosing invitations for learning, how one designs the classroom environment and materials, etc.  It is not a set curriculum.  Very child-led.

The National Head Start Association has started a tool for program decision makers to leave or read reviews of different educational products, including curricula. It is still in the early phases of development so it does not have very many reviews, but the reviews that are there may be helpful. https://thejunction.nhsa.org/Search-business/?keyword=curriculum&category=&sub_category=&location=

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have worked in centers that follow a curriculum as well as others that had not. Having the choice to decide which one is a big decision as we need to decide what teaching method will be best for the children. All children learn different so we want on that covers a lot regarding that but also not something that we need to spend hours on trying to figure out how to use.

I am a large home Day care and a certified Montessori Teacher, 3-6years.  My home caters for children between the ages of 15months and 6.  I have been called a Hybrid Montessori school.

I would choose either High Scope or Reggio Emilia inspired. I love High Scope!
