Can someone tell me where I can purchase big books for teaching?

I got mine from Scholastic. It was a while ago. You could check their website.

Scholastic will often have them in combination with a pack of regular books, and teacher supply houses like Discount, Kaplan, and Lakeshore will have them, as well, sometimes with felt pieces or puppets accompanying the book.  Child's Play has some larger versions of their books available that are not technically Big Books, but that would work for a small group reading.

I've found big books several times at Costco, though it's not a regular thing.
