Take a moment to think about the true definition of play; the spontaneous choice of play. What is it that you expect a child to get out of play? Do you grant yourself the same compassion and make time for your own play? How do you do it? Not how do you play with the children in your classroom but, how do you personally play and engage your own mind in this state that we want so much for our children?

I am all about play for all ages. Currently for my own play I have a puppet that has his own Instagram page where I get to set up fun and playful photos with him to share on his page. I also have a FB page that I run with my partner in play, my sister, that posts daily reasons to celebrate and be playful.
