Halloween is to me a very special holiday and one on which we should model our lives.
(Explanation to follow...:P)
It's the day where we dress up as whoever we want to be: a princess, a scientist, a monster, a dragon...
Provided that thing we dress up as does not do harm to others (i.e. an evil clown or Scream)...why should there be only one day a year when we dress up as who we want and live our dreams? Shouldn't we
each and every day be who we want to be?

Subject: Happy Halloween are you ready (and excited) for the Winter Holidays?
I still find myself pulling out the Louise and Julia's book Anti-Bias Education for Young Children and Ourselves, especially between October and December. Look at the chapter, "Learning About Holidays & Fairness." There is a little snippet on the NAEYC page and I think you can check it out at the library.

Be safe and have fun today.
