I  have a song on a self made cassette tape that is 25 year old.  There is a song that is labeled as the "Turning Song" but I did not write down the artist.  I would love to find this song again.... does anyone know what it could be?  The lyrics go:
I'm turning turning turning, I'm turning round and round
I'm turning turning turning, I'm turning round and round
I'll turn and turn and turn and then l'll stop.

The song continues with jumping, stretching, marching, moving slowly.  Then it ends ..

I'll turn and turn and turn and sit down.

It was a man that sang it, most likely from the 80'S

I'm not  sure, but that song sounds like a Raffi song. He was a popular singer of children'a songs!

I'd also look up Hugh Hanley.  He has lots of movement and transition songs.

Possibly Hap Palmer is the artist.  He's an oldie but a goodie!

Oh my...you will have me singing this all day today!  I had it on a record in our collection from Macmillan Education Company. - Sing and Learn 1987!   No artist is listed.  I attached a copy of the activity page that was with the set.  We later the set on CD.  You can see the credit in the lower left corner.  Still a great resource!

Thank you so much Bonnie Hendershot!  I just couldn't find it anywhere!  Now I have to figure out if I have access to a record player because the album is available on ebay lol...

The song and its many possibilities for adding to, captured my imagination. Did a little searching just now and found it as an MP3 record .... the whole series is available on this site.
