Summer is ending and it's time to think about connecting with colleagues and strengthening our practice.
So.... The Diversity and Equity Interest Forum and the Tribal and Indigenous Early Childhood Network are pleased to offer a virtual book club centered on the book
"Lessons from Turtle Island: Native Curriculum in Early Childhood Classrooms" Facilitation will be provided by Barb Fabre and Tamie Finn (White Earth Ojibwe Nation) of Indigenous Visioning.
Our facilitators will help provide insight and resources for teaching both Indigenous and non-Indigenous children about Indigenous cultural norms in an early childhood setting setting. If you would like to connect with other early childhood educators from all over the US who are interested in tribal and Indigenous issues, then this book club is for you.
Join us on Thursday, August 27 from 5:30 to 7 CST (1:30-3 HST, 2:30 -4 AKDT, 3:30-5:00 PST, 4:30-6:00 MST, 6:30-8:00 EST) for a lively book discussion.
