    Hello Community!
I was wondering if anyone is involved in any other more local professional early childhood organizations besides NAEYC in your local communities. I love that with my involvement in NAEYC it has also opened doorways to the rest of the early childhood community and was looking to see what everyone else does in their home towns. Thanks!

I belong to a professional group of parent participation preschools.  Our local group is Santa Clara Valley Cooperative Nursery Schools and there is a state level (California Cooperative Parent Participation Nursery Schools) and International level (Parent Cooperative Preschools International) of the organization as well.

I'm not a member of it, but I understand there is a group of in home day care providers who support each other in my area.  I'm not sure if it's by neighborhood or throughout the whole city.  I know they've gotten together for training opportunities in the past.  It seems like a valuable group if you're an in home provider, since they have to work harder to interact with others who do the same thing.

Hi! I am a member of our local Reggio Round table. Every month we go to different sites, hear from different people in the field, and explore what people are doing with their influence from Reggio. It's been really interesting and I learn a lot every time I go.

I am also involved in MAAEYC- Massachusetts Association for the Education of Young Children, and MADCA- Massachusetts Association of Early Education and Care, and we have a local county based Professional Learning Community that meets once a month for all directors in the county.
